Joy Buolamwini was born in 1989. She holds two master’s degrees from Oxford University and MIT; and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her main contribution to Computer science is founding the Algortihmic Justice League and advocates for equality in technology. It was very interesting reading about Buolamwini’s work on algorithmic bias and inequities in the performance of AI systems.
